Getting To Sri Lanka : Bandaranayake International Airport Sri Lanka Colombo. We will have a car and driver waiting to transfer you to our starting hotel in Negombo. (Approx 15 min drive)
Sri Lanka has introduced an electronic visa system and tourist visas should be applied for before your arrival: http://www.eta.gov.lk/slvisa/
Visas on arrival are still being issued for those who forget to obtain a visa in advance but this will delay your passport arrival formalities at the airport.
All riders must bring a full motorcycle international licence or a motorbike licence from their home country.
Every client must send their International drivers licence copy to us at least 1 month before the departure date. So that we can endorse with AA Ceylon in Sri Lanka. Then your Endorsement will be ready when you arrive to Sri Lanka
Accommodation will be varied with an emphasis on higher-end style hotels and resorts in most destinations (3-4 star).
All accommodation is twin-share unless a single supplement is required.
As indicated in the itinerary most meals will be included and we like to splurge. The emphasis will be on traditional Sri Lankan cuisine.
The national currency is the Sri Lankan rupee. The approximate exchange rate is 1USD = 131 LKR (Sri Lankan Rupee). ATM's accepting all major international cards are available in most towns. Most meals and activities on the tour are included. You will only need money for alcoholic drinks, optional activities and souvenirs.
Security and safety
Sri Lanka was plagued by civil war and violence for many years but after the defeat of the Tamil Tiger army in 2009 the country has been at peace with no signs that this will change. Throughout the war the majority of fighting was in the northern areas of Jaffna.part of the country.
The tour will have a full support crew including a local English-speaking guide, tour mechanic and support vehicle.
