 Day
One: Colombo Airport - Kandy
We drive through lush plantations on our way to Kandy, stopping at
the Pinnewela Elephant Orphanage, Spice Garden, and Tea Factory.
After lunch we tour the city of Kandy and visit the Botanical
Gardens, a Gemstone cutter, Batik factory and the Arts and crafts
centre. A great opportunity to pick some quality souvenirs (Note:
we will only take you to government approved shops which ensures you
are getting quality, authentic items).
In
the evening view a cultural dance performance in the Kandyan
Cultural Centre and spend the night in Kandy.
Day Two: Kandy - Colombo
Airport
After the early breakfast visit the Sacred Temple of the Tooth which
contains the secret tooth relic
of Buddha.
We can then take the lake side drive, and back to Colombo Airport.
Note: This is an
example itinerary and can be changed according to time of arrival
and, of course, any personal preferences.
