Terms & Conditions

1. Authorized Use

The rental vehicle (car or motorbike) may only be operated by the client listed on this agreement. Any other driver must be approved in writing by Sha Lanka Travels. Unauthorized use by third parties is strictly prohibited.

2. Return Condition and Engine Damage Liability

Vehicles must be returned in the same condition as rented. The client is fully responsible for engine or clutch damage from reckless driving, overheating, or failure to maintain radiator coolant and engine oil levels each morning.

3. Mileage and Usage

Motorbikes: unlimited kilometers. Vehicles: daily limit of 100km. Extra usage is charged at USD $15 per additional 100km.

4. Repair Authorization

All repairs must be authorized in advance. The client must obtain a cost estimate and wait for approval before proceeding. Valid itemized receipts are required for reimbursement.

5. Vehicle Security

The client must not leave the vehicle unattended or in unsecured areas. Loss, theft, or damage from negligence is the client's sole responsibility.

6. Fuel Policy

Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as provided. Refueling charges apply if the level is lower on return.

7. Restricted Use

Vehicles are not permitted on beaches, rocky terrain, muddy roads, or off-road surfaces without prior permission. Clients will be charged for resulting damage.

8. Rental Duration and Hours

Rental hours are valid from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily. Extended or overnight use must be arranged in advance.

9. Refund Policy

All rental payments are non-refundable, including early return.

10. Traffic Violations and Legal Responsibility

The client is fully responsible for all traffic violations, parking tickets, and legal issues during the rental period.

11. Daily Fluid Check Requirement

The client must check daily: engine oil, radiator coolant, brake fluid, clutch oil, and power steering fluid. Neglect may lead to damage for which the client is fully liable.

12. Client Awareness and Vehicle Monitoring

The client must monitor dashboard indicators including temperature gauge and AMP meter. Ignoring these may result in mechanical failure and additional charges.

13. Insurance and Liability Options

Full insurance covers accidental damage, theft, total vehicle loss, and third-party damage. Clients without full insurance are responsible for all damage, theft, loss, and repair costs.
